New Project
What is at present a low lying, kikuyu-strangled, bare triangle of land at the northern end of George St has the potential to become a beautiful passive recreation area. Severed by the bypass, edged by the noise mound and almost one acre in size, the block is all that is left of the once open land between North and George Streets.
The RMS has most generously agreed to allow the Garden Club to establish a park there after filling and contouring by Fulton Hogan is completed. Have a look at the site, follow its progress and join us later in the project, if you wish.
