With the arrival of Autumn it is time to think about bulbs.  Look at what is currently flowering, such as Amaryllis, Zephyranthes and Nerines, to plan ahead for next year.  Now is a good time to buy from the wide range of Spring flowering bulbs available for wonderful displays in September and October and plant them in well-prepared ground in April.  Don’t forget that cold climate bulbs such as tulips, hyacinths and some daffodils should first spend some time in the fridge crisper.
