About the Berry & District Garden Club

Friendship Through Gardening

The Berry & District Garden Club is delighted to have so many active and interesting people in our Club, all of whom bring knowledge, enthusiasm and a love of gardens with them to our meetings and on the various garden trips and excursions we include in our activities.

The Club meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month (between February and November) at St Luke’s Church Hall in Princess Street, Berry at 7.30pm. Everyone is most welcome to come along, listen to guest speakers, purchase bargain-priced plants and enjoy supper with experienced local gardeners as well as newcomers to gardening – and to the district.

The Club holds two highlight events each year; the Camellia & Floral Show in August and the Berry Gardens Festival in October.

Garden Club members also enjoy keeping Berry beautiful and are involved in regular working bees at David Berry Hospital and the Berry Courthouse. These generous Garden Club members, under the friendly guidance of a co-ordinating fellow gardener, prune, weed, dig and mulch the gardens that give pleasure to all who pass by. We are always happy to have extra helpers to join us for about an hour or so every month.
